  • Morales v. Heritage Grove, Inc. (Wash. Super. Ct.)

Represented the family and the estate of an elderly man who died in a nursing home as a result of medical malpractice and abuse and prevailed after a three-week jury trial.

  • Hiraga v. Geico General Insurance Company (Wash. Super Ct.)

Represented an elderly woman in a lawsuit against Geico General Insurance Company for violation of Washington’s Consumer Protection Act and Washington’s Insurance Fair Conduct Act and prevailed after a two-week jury trial.

  • Jensen v. Washington State Dep’t of Corrections (Wash. Super. Ct.)

Represented two women and their families in a lawsuit against the Washington State Department of Corrections for inadequate supervision of a violent parolee who robbed the women at gunpoint and shot them in the head, neck, and back, causing traumatic and life-threatening injuries.

  • Estate of Strahm v. Seegert, Inc. (Wash. Super. Ct.)

Represented the family and the estate of a construction worker who was pinned down and crushed underneath the bucket of a hydraulic excavator while working at a construction site.  Plaintiffs brought negligence and product liability claims against a subcontractor and the manufacturer of the excavator.

  • Prescott v. Country Mutual Insurance Company (Wash. Super. Ct.)

Represented a young man in a lawsuit against Country Mutual Insurance Company for violation of Washington’s Insurance Fair Conduct Act.

  • In re Expedia Hotel Taxes & Fees Litig. (Wash. Super. Ct.)

Represented consumers in a class action lawsuit against Expedia, Inc. for misrepresenting the amount of legitimate taxes and service fees associated with certain hotel reservations.

  • In re Bextra & Celebrex Marketing, Sales Practices, & Product Liability Litigation (N.D. Cal.)

Represented consumers and third-party payors in a class action lawsuit against Pfizer, Inc. for its improper marketing and promotion of Celebrex and Bextra.

  • In re Amazon.com, Inc. Sec. Litig. (W.D. Wash.)

Represented investors in a class action lawsuit charging Amazon.com, Inc. and several of its officers and directors with violations of the federal securities laws for misrepresenting Amazon.com’s customer growth and revenue-per-customer metrics, its publicly-reported financial results, and the nature and terms of its compensation arrangements with certain strategic partners.

  • In re Rhythms Netconnections, Inc. Sec. Litig. (D. Colo.)

Represented investors in a class action lawsuit charging former officers and directors of Rhythms Netconnections, Inc., a bankrupt entity which once provided DSL services, with manipulating Rhythms’s subscriber line counts and falsely reporting its financial results to the investing public in violation of federal securities laws.

  • Schneider v. Wilcox Farms, Inc. (W.D. Wash.)

Represented consumers as lead counsel in a class action lawsuit against Wilcox Farms, Inc. challenging the improper marketing and promotion of omega-3 fortified eggs.
